In the heart of Egbeda, Lagos, at No. 1 Adebowale Close near Micom Bus Stop, stands a sanctuary of faith and miracles—United Rock of Ages Church of Christ. Founded on September 7, 1987, by the late Mother Reverend Abigail Oluwafayegbami, the church began with just 39 members and a mighty move of God. That day marked the beginning of a spiritual legacy that would span generations.
Mother Abigail, once a devoted member of CAC Dopemu, received divine visions urging her to establish a church. A successful businesswoman and a woman of deep faith, she made a covenant with God: if He blessed her with a son, she would dedicate him to His service. That son, Obafemi Oluwatosin Moses, was born under prophetic promise and raised with unwavering spiritual discipline.
From childhood, Obafemi was nurtured in the ways of the Lord—trained to walk in righteousness and serve with humility. He grew into a multifaceted servant of the church, taking on roles as interpreter, chorister, drummer, Sunday School teacher, and leader. His calling was never about inheritance—it was about divine ordination.
Now, on October 26, 2025, Pastor Obafemi will be officially ordained as the General Overseer of the church his mother built with prayer, vision, and sacrifice. With four branches across Lagos, Ogun, and Ondo States, the ministry continues to thrive, rooted in the mission of winning souls for Christ.
“My succession is not by birthright,” Obafemi affirms, “but by the Spirit of the living God. This is just the beginning. With the help of the Holy Spirit, we will continue the work my mother began—bringing souls to Christ and witnessing miracles as God moves among us.”
As the mantle passes, the legacy lives on—not just in the name, but in the power, purpose, and promise of United Rock of Ages Church of Christ.
