The pioneering class of CMS Girls Grammar School, the first set to graduate from Gov. Lateef Kayode Jakande School, has marked a major milestone – their 40th Anniversary!
Speaking at the celebration, Taiwo Salvador, President of Class ’85 set, described their time at the school as a “gem” experience, proudly referring to their nickname, “the gem that came out of the Chicken house”.
Their story is a testament to Gov. Jakande’s vision of making quality education accessible to all, bridging the gap for both high and middle-class families. The anniversary celebration is a celebration of their achievements and the school’s enduring legacy.
The Chairman of the Anniversary Celebration Committee is Miss. Kehinde Oluwadimu, also the Vice President of the class 85’Set, appreciates all the team and those that supported the celebration and making a significant impact on the school.
Others include Miss. Omotiefe Abolagba, Bunmi Busari from UK, Yetunde Olaoke from Uk, Miss. Ebby Momoh, Tope Awoniyi, Pastor Shola Atere from Ibadan and others.
They also recognise one of the Teachers that make a great impact to their time while in school, Mr. Martins, Mr. Oresegun,Mr. Lawal and most especially Mrs ABIODUN Kasunmu her role in their lives is greatly appreciated and can not be denied. Late Mrs. Kasunmu is the mother of our House of Assembly IKEJA II, Hon. Kasunmu.
The President, acknowledge everyone from Lagos and beyond for their contributions and support.
She prayed for many years of friendship and love for another 40th years in good health, long life and peace of mind in Jesus Mighty Name Amen.
