This is because such people could easily serve as mentors for those who are younger.

The Publisher also disclosed how the media house has over the last couple of years followed the career and service of Professor Ajiboye at TRCN, taking notes of the various efforts geared towards giving the teaching profession in Nigeria a big boost.

According to him it was these that influenced the selection of the former lecturer as the Parastatal Head of the Year 2021/2022.

In urging him to do more for the society, the Editor in-Chief further highlighted the fact that the role of teachers in the society cannot be overemphasized and whatever TRCN does today will definitely impact Nigeria, especially, its workforce in the nearest future.

After the presentation of the Award, the Award winner, delighted and went down memory lane how he was transformed from being a critic of government to a Chief Executive of a government agency. According to him, he saw the appointment as an opportunity, and as a way of practicing what he preached as an egg-head.

He spoke on how he met the Council steeply in debt and insolvent but turned things around in a matter of one year. He also disclosed other achievements such ensuring that TRCN formally collected valid papers for its land, completed the building of the Annex structure, approval of the Federal Government for a new retirement age for teachers as well as new salary scale for them while students reading education courses are now to enjoy bursary courtesy of Professor Josiah Ajiboye’s intiatives.

It is also on record that his administration has been at the vanguard of international recognition for Nigerian teachers so much so that hundreds now leave the country to teach abroad after acquiring standardized qualifications through tests and examinations prepared by TRCN.

The TRCN under his leadership now occupies an enviable position among other allied organisations worldwide so.much so that they are being called upon to share their technical know-how in bringing the best out of teachers as well as standardization of the profession.
