400-level Nursing student battles Colorectal cancer, as family calls for help

Glory Abiodun Akinmuleya has been battling a strange ailment for the most part of this year.
Glory is, until this ailment, a 400-Level Nursing student at the Esfam University in Republic of Benin. She is a native of Ondo State of Nigeria.
Upon the coming of this disease, her parents ferried her back home believing that in a matter of days she would be back in school to continue her studies. That was not to be.

Glory, 19, has since been bedridden and has been moved from one hospital to another. She is now been administered to as the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi Araba area of Lagos State.

It was gathered that some months ago, Glory was operated upon for Intestinal Obstruction which her parents said gulped N3 million.
It was said that after the operation, she looked good and went home with the hope to recuperate and continue her studies.
Sadly, weeks after, Glory’s situation deteriorated again and was rushed back to the hospital. She was then reportedly diagnosed of Colorectal Cancer which requires some money to attend to by her doctors. It is said that doctors are demanding for an initial deposit of N2 million. That is aside the daily injections she repirtedly receives to keep her alive.

Glory’s father, Morakinyo Akinmuleya, told our reporter that his first child now could not pass faeces from her anus, but through a bag-like substance which is attached to her abdomen for that purpose. It is said that Glory is constantly in pains and emaciating daily.
According to Glory’s father, “I am appealing to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, well-spirited groups and individuals across the country to rescue my daughter. We have sold everything that we have got to be able to perform earlier suggery on her but now we have nothing to sell.
“She is constantly in pains every day crying all through the night. It has been a harrowing experience for her and the rest of the family”.
Mr. Akinmuleya said he believed strongly that help would come from well-spirited Nigerians and also said he had no doubt that his daughter would be up on her legs again and become a healer of men that she had always wanted to be.
