In a move that celebrates long-standing dedication and party consistency, Ololade Taiwo Salvador was officially appointed as the Supervisor Councillor for the Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA) this past Tuesday.
The appointment marks a significant milestone in Salvador’s political career, serving as a testament to her sixteen years of unwavering commitment to both the community and her political party.
A Bond of Sixteen Years
Speaking with a correspondent from National Monitor Media, Salvador expressed deep-seated gratitude toward the Council Chairman, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada (MNIM)—popularly known as the Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri and the Yeyesewa of Ilara Kingdom.
Salvador highlighted that her relationship with the Mayoress is built on a foundation of trust that spans nearly two decades. Notably, she emphasized a rare level of political altruism:
- Zero Demands: For sixteen years, Salvador maintained her friendship and loyalty without ever demanding positions or favors.
- Unwavering Support: She intentionally gave the Mayoress the necessary space to lead the community effectively.
- Community Focus: Her tenure as a party member has been defined by developing programs for women, children, and the elderly.
”Renewed Hope” for Party Members
The new Supervisor Councillor noted that this appointment sends a powerful message to grassroots politicians across the region. By honoring her decades of “loyalty, consistency, and patience,” the leadership has validated the idea that hard work within the party does not go unnoticed.
