Hon. Dr. Samuel Mawuyon Ajose, an aspirant for the Lagos State governorship under the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Friday engaged party members and stakeholders at a PBAT and SMA divisional meeting held in Agege.
The gathering took place at the Women Development Centre, Pen Cinema, and brought together APC leaders and supporters from Alimosho and neighbouring areas.
Ajose, while addressing attendees, described the reception he received as encouraging, especially considering the short notice of the meeting.
He underscored the political significance of Alimosho, pointing out that its large voter population makes it a critical area for the party’s electoral fortunes in Lagos State.
He explained that the introduction of an additional political division in Alimosho was a deliberate move to deepen grassroots participation, strengthen party structures, and galvanise support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Ajose added that such collective effort would also translate into backing for other APC candidates when elections are held.
Commending party members for their strong presence, the governorship hopeful said the turnout reflected growing unity and readiness within the party in the area. He expressed confidence that the build-up to the elections would usher in intensified and constructive political engagement across the state.
Ajose also appealed to residents to take advantage of ongoing voter registration by obtaining their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and formalising their membership of the APC. According to him, this would position them to participate fully in the electoral process, support President Tinubu, and contribute to the realisation of his ambition to govern Lagos State.
