Lagos Assembly Speaker Mojisola Meranda Resigns, Reflects on Historic Leadership

  In a moment of historic significance, Mojisola Meranda, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, has announced her resignation from the position of Speaker of the 10th Assembly, effective March 3, 2025. This moment marks the end of a remarkable tenure that saw Meranda make history as the first female Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly.

In her resignation statement, Meranda expressed her deep gratitude to her colleagues and the people of Lagos State for the trust they placed in her leadership. She acknowledged the unwavering support from her fellow lawmakers, which she credited as pivotal to her successes during her term.
