His Royal Majesty, the Oloworo of Oworoshoki, Oba Babatunde Saliu, Elebo II, has extend his heartfelt congratulations to Mojisola lasbat Meranda, on her appointment as the first female Speaker of Lagos State.
Oba Saliu wishes her a successful tenure and looks forward to working closely with her for the betterment of Oworoshoki and the entire state.
Meranda’s appointment comes following the impeachment of Mudashiru Obasa, bringing to fore her historic achievement as the first female Speaker.
This is a significant milestone for gender equality and empowerment in Lagos State. Oba Saliu commends her dedication to public service and her commitment to serving the people of Lagos State with integrity and excellence.
As a traditional leader of Oworoshoki, Oba Saliu is confident that Meranda’s will bring a fresh perspective and innovative ideas to the role of Speaker, and he pledges his full support to her in her new position.
He believes that her leadership will inspire other women in Lagos State to aspire to positions of influence and leadership in government and society.
