A crucial stakeholders’ meeting convened by the Lagos chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to deliberate on the modalities for the upcoming Local Government primary took an unexpected turn when Kolade Alabi, Chairman of the Bariga Local Council Development Area (LCDA), suddenly collapsed.

The incident occurred just moments after Alabi addressed a gathering of hundreds of aspirants and party members, including prominent figures such as Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat, Speaker of the House of Assembly Mudasiru Obasa, Lagos West Senator Dr. Oluranti Adebule, and the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) Chairman Tajudeen Olusi, among others.
As panic spread through the room, party members swiftly sprang into action, resuscitating Alabi within minutes. He regained consciousness before being rushed to the hospital in an ambulance for further medical attention.
Although the abrupt disruption momentarily overshadowed the meeting’s agenda, party leaders and attendees expressed relief at Alabi’s recovery, ensuring discussions would resume in due course.
