The Obinja Media Communications, Publisher of The Legend News has emerged as the best overall winner in Photo Story Category at the 2024 Nestlé Nigeria Media Awards.
The Legend News has been in existence for over five years and the medium is waxing stronger every day.
The award which recognized best media practitioners and reward in order to celebrate journalistic excellence across Nigeria, took place on Thursday December 19th, 2024 in Lagos.
In the Photo story category, Olawale Amoo, Photo Editor of the Business Day newspaper emerged as second runner up, and Gbenga Shaba, publisher of Omonaijablog announced 1st runner up, while Shakirat Salami, Managing Editor of The Legend News triumphed as overall best photo story winner of award.
It was a night of laurels for The Legend News, Online newspaper publication, the Most Influential News Carrier . The award presentation which took place on the 19th of December, 2024 at 157 Gardens and Events, 157 Ikorodu Rd, Onipanu, Lagos.
Now in its fourth year, Nestlé Nigeria Media Awards recognizes and rewards media professionals who skillfully highlight critical issues around nutrition security, environmental sustainability and socio-economic development.
The judges include, Dr. Chioma Emma-Nwachukwu, Programmes Lead, Lagos Chapter, Nutrition Society of Nigeria, renowned for her work in nutrition and public health and Rosemary Otalor, Account Director, APO Group, with extensive experience in media relations and communications.
Others are, Dr. Sunday John, Senior Lecturer, School of Media and Communications, Pan-Atlantic University, an expert in media studies and journalism; Oreva Atanya, Director, LBS Sustainability Center, Pan-Atlantic University, known for her contributions to sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
Also, in the team of the 2024 Nestlé Nigeria is Victoria Uwadoka, award winning leader in corporate communications and public affairs, Corporate Communications, Public Affairs and Sustainability Lead, at Nestlé Nigeria.
