Young Talent FC Wins ‘The Last Team Standing’ Reality Show Lagos Trials  

Young Talent FC, a rising football club, has achieved a remarkable feat by emerging as the winners of the Lagos State trials held at the sports complex of the Abati Barracks for the highly anticipated reality show, The Last Team Standing.

The reality show, with over 300 participants, and expected to commence between September and October 2023, is in continuation of the recruitment process to find the final 12 teams. The initiative is an innovative reality show that aims to discover and showcase the best young football talents in Nigeria. It provides a platform for aspiring footballers to demonstrate their skills, overcome challenges, and ultimately earn a chance to play for a professional team.

Speaking at the Lagos trial session, the visioner and founder of The Last Team Standing Show, Mr. Osayande Agbontaen, while expressing his excitement at the turnout of players for the trials said, “For equity and fairness, we had to pick 14 young talented players from the individual players and merged them with the 14 players of the overall winner, Young Talent FC, to have 28 players representing the state for the final screening going into The Last Team Standing House in September/October. The trials will continue till we have gone round the selected 12 states within the six geopolitical zones in the country and we believe that we will find the next generation of superstars in the show.”

We have a realtor group called The Gold Colony where we recruit young people to join our team and we teach them to sell real estate but not everybody can sell real estate, some will play football so this is why we are passionately behind The Last Team Standing Reality Show because we believe that from here, we can find the next Ronaldo or Messi.”

Ex-Nigerian international Henry Nwosu (MON) was on ground to cheer the teams. The next stop for the trials train is Oyo State which will be happening between June 21st & 22nd,2023.
