I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Distinguished Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI) on his conferment of the prestigious Fellowship Award (FYCT) by the Senate and Management of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH).
This honour, bestowed by Nigeria’s foremost tertiary institution, stands as a resounding testament to Senator Adeola’s unwavering dedication to education, youth empowerment, and national development.
On the floor of the National Assembly, Senator Adeola has consistently championed legislative initiatives for the transformation of YABATECH and the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro (FPI) into full-fledged Universities of Technology—institutions designed to produce the skilled manpower required for Nigeria’s progress. Today, part of this vision has been realized: FPI has successfully attained university status, while YABATECH awaits presidential assent for its own elevation.
Beyond legislative advocacy, Senator Adeola’s commitment to human capital development is evident in his annual scholarship and bursary schemes for Yewa students across Nigeria’s tertiary institutions. These initiatives have empowered countless young people, reduced illiteracy, alleviated poverty, and positively transformed families and communities throughout Ogun West Senatorial District.
As a devoted supporter of Senator Adeola’s social liberation movement, I deeply appreciate YABATECH’s Senate and Management for recognizing his contributions with this distinguished honour. I am confident that this award will inspire him toward even greater accomplishments in the service of our nation.
