In a landmark move towards digital transformation in Nigeria’s healthcare sector, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has commissioned an e-Health project at the State Specialist Hospital in Akure, Ondo State. The initiative underscores the increasing role of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in medical services, bridging gaps and ensuring accessibility regardless of geographical constraints.Speaking at the event, the Executive Vice Chairman of NCC, Dr. Aminu Maida, emphasized the project’s significance in integrating healthcare into Nigeria’s digital economy.
